The competition is organized during 14-27 October, 2022 in Helsinki. The first and second rounds will take place in the Sibelius Academy’s concert hall at Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu. The finals will be organized in Helsinki Music Centre. The Radio Symphony orchestra will be conducted by Anna-Maria Helsing in the finals.
The competition rules and names of the jury members will be published by March 2021.
The Maj Lind International Piano Competition held in Helsinki on 14-27 October 2022 culminated in the second Orchestral Final on Thursday evening. The jury declared Piotr Pawlak the winner.

In the Orchestral Finals the contestants will perform a piano concerto with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Anna-Maria Helsing.
In the chamber music final on 23 October, the finalists will play a quartet together with chamber music ensembles Kamus or Meta4.
The jury selected the finalists on Friday evening after the second round.
The commissioned work for the competition was composed by Outi Tarkiainen. Competitors may, in the second round, alternatively improvise on a theme. The theme is issued 20 minutes before performance.
