The finals on October 26-27, 2022 will take place at the Helsinki Music Centre, which is a concert center and meeting place in the center of Helsinki. During the busiest season, from September to May, the Music Centre hosts about 70-100 concerts or other events per month. The main actors of the concert center, which was completed in 2011, are the Sibelius Academy, the Helsinki City Orchestra and the Radio Symphony Orchestra, which is the orchestra of the Maj Lind Finals 2022.
The first and second rounds will take place in the Sibelius Academy’s concert hall at Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu. The legendary building has been a central place for music studies already for several decades. The so-called R Building is located on the Töölö Campus, right in the city center of Helsinki. The building houses a 647-seat Concert Hall, a Chamber Music Hall, an Early Music Hall, and rooms for teaching and practice.
