Janne Ikäheimo has been appointed as the new General Secretary of the Helsinki International Maj
Lind Piano Competition. He took up the position on 15 September 2027.
Ikäheimo joins the competition from the position of producer at Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy. He
brings extensive experience in organising a wide range of arts and cultural events, as well as in building
and developing international professional networks.
“It is a pleasure and an honour to lead the Maj Lind Piano Competition and to further strengthen its
position as an internationally significant meeting place for young pianists,” says Ikäheimo.Ikäheimo astuu tehtävään Taideyliopiston Sibelius-Akatemian tuottajan tehtävästä. Hänellä on pitkä
kokemus erilaisten taide- ja kulttuuritapahtumien järjestämisestä sekä kansainvälisten
ammattilaisverkostojen rakentamisesta ja kehittämisestä.
”On ilo ja kunnia päästä luotsaamaan Maj Lind -pianokilpailua ja vahvistamaan sen asemaa
kansainvälisesti merkittävänä nuorten pianistien kohtaamispaikkana.” Ikäheimo toteaa.
