The Fifth International Maj Lind Piano Competition is organized in Helsinki from 14 to 27 October 2022. Both cash and performance prizes will be awarded in the competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Competition\u202ffinalists\u202fwill be offered the following performance opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The winner of the competition will be invited by the House of Nobility Concerts to perform in a solo concert during spring 2024.\u202f\u00a0 Cash prizes for the finalists <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n The top three contestants will be awarded cash prizes as follows <\/p>\n\n\n\n I \u20ac30,000 The rest three finalists will each receive a prize of \u20ac8,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Chamber music prize<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n A special chamber music prize is total of \u20ac8,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Prize by the Society of Finnish Composers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A special prize of \u20ac1,500 for the best performance of the commissioned work by Outi Tarkiainen will be awarded by Suomen S\u00e4velt\u00e4j\u00e4t ry (The Society of Finnish Composers)<\/p>\n\n\n\n International Maj Lind Piano competition is open to all pianists born in or after 1992. \u202f<\/em>\u202f<\/em> The finalist chosen by the Joensuu City Orchestra will be invited to perform as soloist with the orchestra during 2023\/2024.\u202f\u202f\u00a0
The winner of the competition will be invited by the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra to perform as soloist with the orchestra on 20 April 2023 (preliminary date).\u202f\u202f\u202f\u00a0
The winner of the competition will be invited by the Kymi Sinfonietta to perform as soloist with the orchestra during autumn 2023.\u202f\u202f\u00a0
The winner of the competition will be invited by the M\u00e4ntt\u00e4 Music Festival to perform in the festival during 1\u20135 August 2023.\u202f\u202f\u00a0
The finalist chosen by the PianoEspoo Festival will be invited to perform in the festival in September 2023.\u202f\u202f\u00a0
The winner of the competition will be invited by the Pori Sinfonietta to perform as soloist with the orchestra during 2023\/2024.\u202f
The winner of the competition will be invited by the Turku Music Festival to perform in the festival during summer 2023.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on applications, the pre-selection jury<\/em> <\/em>will select circa 40 pianists to take part in the competition. The application period is open until 31 May.<\/em>
