The competition will have three rounds, of which the first and second rounds as well as the chamber music finals will be held in the Concert Hall of the Sibelius Academy and the orchestral finals in the Helsinki Music Centre \u2013 both located in the central Helsinki.&nbsp; \u202f&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Head of the international jury is Joanna MacGregor. The other members of the jury are\u202fHieYon Choi, Kyoko Hashimoto, Bj\u00f6rn Lehmann, Robert Levin, Cedric Pescia, Margit Rahkonen, Kalle Randalu and Rena Shreshevskaja.\u202f&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants are required to fill out the online application form, submit&nbsp;the required documents, including a video recordings for the&nbsp;pre-selection, and pay the registration fee before the registration&nbsp;deadline. The online registration is open until May 31, 2022. The applicants accepted for the competition will be announced in June.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first Maj Lind Competition in 1945 was a national one. It became international in 2002 and has been organised once every five years by the Sibelius Academy of Uniarts Helsinki. The competition is named after its benefactress, Maria \u201cMaj\u201d Lind (n\u00e9e Kopjeff, 1876\u20131942), a keen amateur music-lover.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nearly \u20ac109,000 worth of cash prizes will be awarded in the competition. Additionally numerous performance opportunities will be offered to the award-winning contestants.&nbsp;The competition is open to all pianists born in or after 1992.
