Mark Taratushkin (born 22 January 1990, Ukraine) started his musical education in Ukraine. He studied in Moscow at the Central Music School, and later the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, in the class of N. V. Troull. After graduating in 2013, he moved to Germany, where he continued in the class of Gerrit Zitterbart at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, and later under Klaus Hellwig at Berlin University of the Arts, where he has studied up to now. He is a laureate of numerous piano competitions, such as the “A. Rubinstein” in Paris, “The Muse” in Santorini, the “Yakov Flier” in Moscow and the European Piano Competition in Normandy. Winner of the Israeli Music Competition of Tel-Hai, he gave the world premiere of pieces by Israeli composer Moshe Zorman. His debut CD of works by Bartók and Prokofiev was released in 2015, accompanied by concerts in Germany and Italy. www.marktaratushkin.com
