Ruslan Strogiy (born 17 June 1992, Narva, Estonia) entered the Tallinn Music High School, where his teacher was Maigi Pakri. He won the VI International Competition of Young Pianists from the Baltic Sea Countries in 2006 and the second prize at the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in Weimar in 2009. Since 2011, he has been studying with Oleg Vainshtein at the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg. In 2012 he won the second prize at the Nordic Piano Competition in Malmö, Sweden. In 2013 he participated in the tour with the St. Petersburg Cello Ensemble in Iceland. Since 2016, he has been studying at the Sibelius Academy in the class of Erik T. Tawaststjerna.
