Justas Stasevskij (born 8 September 1989, Tallinn, Estonia) started his piano studies in Tampere at the age of seven with Vera Fadejeva. In the Sibelius Academy Youth Department he was a student of Erik T. Tawaststjerna. In 2009 he started his degree studies at the Sibelius Academy, first with Teppo Koivisto and then with Antti Siirala, and completed his Master’s degree in 2016. In 2011 he also began in the chamber music department with Avedis Kouyoumdjian at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. In 2016 he embarked on a solo piano degree there with Christopher Hinterhuber. He was one of the finalists at the Ilmari Hannikainen Piano Competition in 2014 and the international Tallinn Piano Competition in 2016 and was nominated “young musician of the year” by the Pro Musica Foundation in Finland in 2011.
